I'm putting in a T98 out of something unknown and big. its a 1-3/8s input spline, so the clutch and pressure plate are diffrent thanwhat I had before. its still an 11 inch, and the bolt holes line up, but its 20 pounds heavier and a diffrent shape.
Anyone have a guess as to what the pressure plate bolts should be torqued to?
And what about locktight? I have been told absolutly never use it on a pressureplate, and I've been told I'd be a fool not to. So is there a reason not to?
Are they 5/16" or 3/8" bolts?? The 5/16" bolts are torqued to 15-20 ft lbs, use good lockwashers. The 3/8" bolts are at 25-30 ft lbs. I have used the blue medium strength Loctite with no issues.
BTW the bellhousing bolts are torqued to 45-50 ft lbs.
