But it looks nothing like the pics On the internet do .the pics look to have A few diffrent mounting locations. I called to check aplication be for I bought it and they said this is correct one I also looked on the hays page and called then to confirm evry one said that the 90-200 was the right one the numbers on The box say the same number also .... On stumped any ideas
Is the replacement pressure plate the same style as the original? What about diameter?
There are three different styles of pressure plates, Long, Borg & Beck and the diaphragm. They all use different bolt patterns.
The Long style has three skinny fingers that the throwout bearing pushes against. The Borg & Beck is similar except that the fingers are wider, and the diaphragm is completely different with a series of flat spring fingers.
As I recall, the FE uses the Long style.
The first picture is a Long, then the B&B and last, the diaphram style

I looked in the Ford parts catalog and it shows only one pressure plate for the 390 from '73-'76, P/N D4TZ-7563-A.
I tried to find a picture of the part number and only came up with one and that was a Long style plate, I'm not sure though that it was a picture of the actual part or a generic picture.
The catalog shows that the 390 used an 11½" clutch disc and the 360 used a different plate because it used an 11" disc.
