np 435 question
Hey,guys got a 68 f250 4x4 and am going to replace engine and tranny.My question is the replacement tranny I got is a np435 same as original in my truck currently except that it was attached to a 208 transfer case directly and my transfer case is a divorced 205 can I just exchage the tail section of the transmission and go or what? Is my current transmission the same as a two wheel drive 435?

The divorced tranny has a bolt on rear yoke and I don't think the 4x4 tanny with the 208 case has the correct output shaft to allow you to bolt on a rear yoke and the output shafts may also be different lengths. I have a NP435 from a divorced set up and I already have the output shaft pulled and if you need it plus the rear extension let me know or if you need me to measure anything.
