Transmission NP435

Transmission NP435
78 F-150 351m C6 4x4. My truck was originally np435. Owner before me swapped it to C6 from Np435. I was planning on swapping it back. Where is a good place to get a NP435 that is already rebuilt with bellhousing, shifter stick, and mount for np205. Where is a good reliable source?

I have seen some on Novak (Complete NP435 Transmission Package), JBG has them, also toms bronco has them. I just do not know if they come with shifter. Novak comes with bellhouse and mount for 205 just nothing about shifter

Looking at the prices of rebuilt transmissions and shipping cost, unless you like throwing money away, source locally and rebuild yourself.
Look on Craigslist or put an ad on Craigslist saying what you are searching for. Any 4x4 NP435, T18, or T19 for a Ford will work with the same bell housing. T19s are from the 80s and is suppose to have a synchroed 1st gear and the first gear is not as steep of a granny gear (especially if you get the diesel version).
You should be able to pick up everything you want for $200-$250. A tranny rebuild kit looks to be just over $100 if you really want to rebuild it. Try and find some tutorials on the internet and just give it a try. Or have a local shop rebuild it.

That junk yard owner is a swindler! Any 4wd truck from 78-79 will have the married transmission/transfer case assembly. They will be either a T18 or NP435. I would pay no more than $150 for a transmission.
Search Craigslist in your area for someone parting out a 77-79 Ford truck. Searchtempest.com might help you out as well to search a larger Craigslist area.
I am not sure how accurate this is, but it will give you an idea of some 80s trucks to look at as well.

I'm hopefully going to go look at a NP435 and NP205, listed at $400. It's the divorced set-up and harder to come by up here.
If I get a chance to look at it, I might offer $300 - $350 for the pair.

Any possible problems running into clutches and the mounting of the 460 with NP435, should i get the L&L flywheel, and clutch. I've been reading up, it is a 68 thunderbird 429 with a 460 crank and pistons, so 460. Transmission is out of a 78 F150, 351m/400. What are the problems or what should i get for the motor and transmission to run and operate the best?
