on my 79 f 150 there is no vin number on the dash. is there supposed to be one there?

Try looking on the Driver's Side Door Post.
I found my 78' there??.

Im pretty sure my dad said he found one on the door the only thing is i dont know if the dmv is gonna say somthing about that one not being there

Not tring to sound like I am giving you a hard time but,
are you going to put the truck on the countertop at the DMV?.
all they need is the correct VIN #, which you said your DAD
found.

when i got my car inspected the inspector wanted to see two places were there are vin numbers on the car

my "75" is actually a 77 with a 75 door, and there is NO other vin anywhere on the truck...the inspector is a burro
