heck yeah it's extremely dangerous! I would totaly advise against doing that. You take a BIG risk of have the block separate going down the road and well...that'll cause a HUGE mess. Legally...I doubt it is. Just my .02 thought. I'm just a little old boy...what do I know...

Please don't pull out in front of me! The last thing I want to do is play identify the pieces with you or your car.
You know plently ol' fellah. Never put blocks up front and don't stack them in the rear. It would just be a matter of time before you were screwed. I'm assuming you meant the back, although I bet some unfortunate soul has stacked 'em in the front before (for a short period of time anyways). Also, remember the taller the block the greater the axle wrap unless you account for it.
If your knuckles ain't bleeding you did something wrong.

yea most lift kits encourage it by including a block to stack in with factory blocks. i like all spring no blocks myself , i have a small 2 inch block in the back of my 79 with the custom national lift springs, they are 9 leafs thick and heavily arched, so there are no axle wrap problems, i have had an experiance with stacked blocks before, thank god it was in my yard, i put blocks in the back of my old f-250 with a 460 for temporary until i got my lift springs...bad idea, i dumped it in 1rst gear...not granny,on the dirt the 33inch rear tires started spinning, then i heard a clank foloowed by a bang bang bang bang of the brand new drive shaft flopping around, i had a 4 and a 3 inch block srtacked in each side, one of the blocks cracked and half of it fell out which resuled in the u bolts bending and leeting the axle twist up, which made the old u joint snap, fun stuff

I personally do not like blocks and I think in some instances, the vehicle will not pass state inspection, but laws do vary, so check with your local inspector. There is a nice source of spring tech info on the [link:www.Eaton Spring.com|Eaton Spring site].
