Oh, I HATE to do this...
Once you get settled give me a shout. I still would like to get those dvds we talked about out to you and David.
And the BMW/Land Rover niche is quite nice. Great product from BMW, and Land Rover is improving ... both very popular down here on Lawn Guyland, especially the LR3.
Your move times well with the Rochester Auto Show ....
Your new customers will be overwhelmed!
Seriously though, Jeff I hope everything works out for you. You are a great guy and deserve to work at a place that pays the bills. You have a great talent for selling vehicles that many people could only hope to have.
Good luck and, most of all, HAVE FUN!
-Matt
Best of luck with the new job. I definitely learned quite a bit from your expertise and although I still haven't bought the new Ford I've wanted I wish I could still give you my business.
I suppose Van Bortel will still be a sponsor here and all but it just won't be the same without you as the sales guy.
Don't be a stranger around these parts, you're always welcome here!
Eric

Sorry to hear that Ford didn't take better care of you but the change of pace could be a good thing. Glad to hear you'll be sticking around here.
You can't leave on better terms than that.
Give Allan a call. The FTE program is still in place at Van Bortel and hasn't changed, and no Ford dealer will ever treat you better. Well, okay, you won't get "the Jeff touch," and you won't get taken out to dinner, but everything else is the same!
As soon as I got off the phone with the receptionist, I called the local Ford dealership and talked to one of the salesmen from whom I have purchased my last four Fords and sent three personal references who purchased from him (including a black Ford Lightning). Their prices were always very fair, but nothing like you offered!
Anyway, I told him what price you and I had agreed on, and told him if he could come darn close, I would once again give him my money. I also told him I had a grand to give him to get the truck on order. He asked for two hours. Well, he came back at $300 over invoice, no hidden "gotchas". Not too shabby, seeing that the dealership is less than 20 minutes from the house.
I am heading there tomorrow (Saturday) to get the truck ordered. He says eight weeks max. Thanks for showing me (and all of us here on the forums) that vehicles can be purchased right around invoice, and not MSRP.

Best of luck Jeff. I hope things go well for you.
(I really think it's bad Karma catching up with you for joking on Cheney accidentally shooting his buddy.
)I do wish you well and look forward to seeing you hang around here.
I wish you well in your new job and hope to still see you around the boards. Shame is that the companies have to shoot their own foot off sometimes but it isn't the first and I am sure it won't be the last. They took a beating when they tried to promote the program vehicles (undercut their own new ones) then the whole rebate thing backfired (now they can't get out of the special offers or rebates) so yes this is a cycle they keep digging for themselves. Like I said good luck my friend and keep in touch.
congrats on your new job!!!!! You will do well anywhere really. I hope you are gonna make it our wonderful state for our FordtoberFest show!!!!!
Maybe you could bring down a range rover for the burn out ontest!!! LOL
Mark
