I just got off the phone with the receptionist. I was getting your mailing address to send you the check today to get my truck on order. When she told me you no longer work there, I didn't know what to say. She offered to have Allan call me, but I just don't know.
Did you leave there on good terms? Should I call Allan?
What do I do know...Punt? Go to my local dealer...Sheeeit.
Well. I hope you get back with me. I know you don't owe me anything...I was dropping the grand check in the mail today...Maybe I need some advice from you as a former salesman...
Come on over to the left coast so I can kick your butt as I own a Landrover, na just kidding but took a new motor and 3 years to get it right and leak proof. Now you need your motorcycle license as they added BMW bikes to their showroom floors. Now if BMW would build a full size truck, the "Ultimate Hauling Machine". Best of luck on your new adventure. Dad had a 53 501, back when the grill went up and down.
Jeff, you've been a great asset to the FTE community. I treasure the GT poster on my wall (which you sent me thanks to 1,000 words exactly) now more than ever! I sure understand about change, too. What was the moral of that one parable someone posted recently---"if we always do what we've always done, we'll only get what we've always gotten". or something like that.
Best of luck in the new job. I hope you are one of the lucky few who "tapdance to work".
Very Good Jeff, Congats on your new adventure. You were a gigantic asset to FTE. I know I have used your wisdom from time to time. You provided numerous amounts of information for the users of this site. You will be missed.
Jeff, I wish you the best of luck in your new venture, I know you will do very well. Thank you for the help you gave me in the past it has been a great help.
Wow. Good luck to you, Jeff. I'm glad I bought my F-150 from you, it was a great experience. Hopefully for you your new dealer is as straight-forward as Van Bortel.
When she told me you no longer work there, I didn't know what to say. She offered to have Allan call me, but I just don't know.

When I told Kitty, she gave me a big hug, said she was both proud of and happy for me, wished me the best of luck, and said the door was always open if I ever wanted to return.
You can't leave on better terms than that.
Give Allan a call. The FTE program is still in place at Van Bortel and hasn't changed, and no Ford dealer will ever treat you better. Well, okay, you won't get "the Jeff touch," and you won't get taken out to dinner, but everything else is the same!
Man this sucks Jeff. I was really looking forward to your expertise in Ford. After all xtreme1's praising of you I was looking forward to picking your brain about Ford. I know a lot of people on this website will miss you and I'm sorry I could experience the Jeff Touch myself. Good luck with your new job.
Oh, out of curiousity, are things really that bad with Ford?
Jeff what can I say. You have been a real asset to this communtity. Even though you won't be selling Fords at least for awhile I hope you keep in touch. You insight and expertise is something that will be sorely missed.
