We have a 96 Ranger, the Splash model... the driver's side seat frame has broken. We're trying to find a replacement but not having much luck. Anyone have a suggestion where to find high back bucket seat replacements?
Well, if you can track down some Explorer seats (prior to '02), they offer the best options, including 6-way-power, lumbar support, and leather, depending on the model.
Thanks for the tip... we have tried several junk yards but no one seems to have a Splash version of the Ranger and they keep trying to sell us a 60/40 split seat.
I put '99 Explorer Buckets in my '95. Had to use my original seat tracks. It was a bolt in deal. I got the top of the line Limited Explorer seats, they are even heated and super comfortable.
I got some out of an 01 explorer also, they were a bolt in except for the seat belt rod on the side. Needed to extend it to fit the ranger to front mount holes by about 2 inches. It was the rail the floor side seat belt is hooked to. Maybe 30-45 minutes total time to remove and install.
They were about $65 each at a salvage yard. elec driver side, manual passenger.
