Dolores - Welcome to FTE. Don't let those guys get the wrong impression about FTE.

I think the question you are asking is one I've been working on myself - what buckets to use and how to mount them. Part of the answer depends on the type of cab the pickup has. If it is a super or extended-cab then it probably came with buckets so it must be a standard cab. If that's true then there are at least two problems. The first is the bucket seat to use, and I went with Bronco buckets. But it turns out Ford had two different kinds of buckets, short and tall-backed. I went with the taller ones (shown here)and I believe I'm going to have minor problems with the back hitting the rear window, so I would recommend the short ones.

The other problem is mounting the buckets. The standard cab has only the outside holes for the bench, but buckets need outside and inside for each bucket. And the cab floor is anything but level or uniform, so bolting them in isn't easy. Some have just drilled holes and shimmed with washers, but I don't think that is a good approach as the inside holes won't be reinforced like the outside holes. However, there is a bolt-in solution. In the 90's Ford had a bucket seat and console arrangement that bolted to a mount, which then bolted into the outside holes in a standard cab. If you can find that setup it'll be a bolt-in solution. And you can see one of those mounts in the thread above.

Yes, I was only showing how to find (replacement) bucket seats, there are a few different methods people here have used (including aftermarket seats) and, as Gary said, the answer is usually: "It depends."

Wish I could come up with one of those 90s mounts but I keep forgetting to look any time I run across a 90s truck in the JY... if I can find one, I'll use it instead of the bolt/fender-washer/bracket stuff I'm currently using.
