Hey gang. I'm coming to the end of my cab replacement project and I have a question. I want to remove the square ,plastic,stick-on label (manufacture date, tire sizes, etc.)from the drivers door jam on my old cab and reinstall it on my new cab. Does anyone have a good method of removing this label intact? I tried using a razor-scraper on the new cab's original label ,to get the edge up, and then peel it slowly, but the white area with the lettering stayed on and the label was ruined.
when i did mine on my donor truck. i pulled the plastic off by mistake and i think underneath it said VOID in pale white letters. how important is that label to you?
There was a guy on one of these threads who took a digital pic of his, touched it up on a photo editor, printed it and did some kind of laminating. He said it looked pretty original when he was done. But if you still have the matching tag on the door I dont think anyone would hassle you about the VIN.

That guy was me! Here is a couple of links to check out, if you have any questions feel free to send me a PM and I will do what I can. -Ed
He cant use making tape to paint around it because the cab isnt there any more. Its a cab replacement and he wants to transfer the lable to the new cab.
