electric cooling fan
Hi, I have a 78 f150 4x4, with a np435 4 speed tranny and 400 bored .030 over and a rv cam. My question is how much difference would a electric fan make, and would it be worth installing. This truck is mostly a daily driver but is also used for hunting and offroad.

It depends on what you are wanting. I've been using a electric now for 3 years and it works fine although when it's a 100 outside and the truck idling, the AC doesn't seem to chill real good AC until the truck is rolling. Installling a electric will make you very aware of when the fan is running (at idle) although some of the new fans coming out now are very quiet, you can barely hear them. I've seen no improvement in mileage.
