will a 12 valve cummins fit in a 78 ford f150?

It will fit but you will have to do some modding. Its easier to drop a 6.9 or a 7.3IDI with a turbo. The adapter kits for the 12V are expensive!!!

do the cummins. It isn't THAT hard and you will be happier with the better motor! IdI's don't perform near as well as the cummins. Really the only benefit to the IDI is the fact that they almost bolt in...

I'm putting one in my 74 crew soon, and many people around here have done it.
