John, you can keep your heater, even for free. Deep in the northwoods there is no electrical service. What I'm thinking of is the engine heaters that burn diesel fuel to keep things warm, and they run a pump off the truck battery to circulate it. I have a manual choke and healthy ignition, but the cab of a '71 has lots of cold metal in it when it is 0*F outside (late december last year). Faster warmups would be nice, and a warm engine would be easier on my starter- and with my headers, starter changeouts are a pain! DF
