SS braided fuel line?

Was wondering if anyone has worked with this stuff. Need to know best way
of installing those screw-in hose end adapters? Does the nut thread over the SS braided wrap?
thanks

Yes. Just make sure you put the nut on before you cut the line to length. It tends to fray on the end after the cut. Wrap the line real tight with a couple of wraps of tape and then cut in the middle of the tape. After you pull the tape off you may have to trim the SS back just a hair to get the nut to start on the fitting. It can be aggravating but it'll go.
Good luck

The Russel Performance web site has a good tech article on proper installation...or I could get you some pictures of how I do it.
Actually a little more info on hose type and end type would help also.

This is how I have had the best luck cutting the SS hose. I use a slightly used fine tooth(28-32 tooth) hacksaw and cut thru some cheap masking tape I wrap tightly at the cut point. It needs to be a straight, clean cut, I sometimes need to trim some fine strands with a good sharp pair of side cutters.

I lube the hose end and the inside of the hose with some motor oil and Power Punch, Lucas, STP type additive(it stays where you want it better). You do not need to lubricate the socket part that goes over the hose except where the fine threads for the nipple/cutter assembly threads in.

To install the hose end the socket threads onto the hose with a LEFT hand(CCW) turn until the hose bottoms against the inside of the socket. Then insert the nipple assembly into the end of the hose(some wiggling, turning usually helps) until it starts into the hose to the threads. Tighten the nipple assembly CW(right hand thread) into the socket until no more than 1/16" separates the two hex parts. I have AN wrenches, but a couple crescent or open end wrenches with masking tape on the jaws(to protect fittings) also works.
