I finished one----it seems to be working fine-----EXCEPT THE LIGHT ON THE REAR OF THE CAB SHINING ON THE BED DOESNT ALWAYS GO OUT WHEN I CLOSE THE DOORS---IM SURE ITS A SENSOR OR SOMETHING------BUT I DONT KNOW WHERE OR HOW IT WORKS----CAN I IDENTIFY IT FROM THE PICTURES PEOPLE PUT UP ON THIS POST ????????(my dome lights are out or they probably would be on too) Thanks
If the switch in the latch for the door open isn't correct it could cause the light. Also,, Did you check the on off switch on the lamp?
OK door locks work ---actuators work-------but the windows wont close well or open well--its like they bind or get stuck----tried to loosen the screw holding the window track (not sure how tight or if its supposed to give a little) I didnt change anything except taking the one screw out and moving the track to the side to get the actuator out.....Seems like it should bolt back up and work ?????? Thanks
First time I have heard of that one. Sounds like you have it binding a bit. Pull the door panel off and try loosening it or shifting it. You could also put a little bit of silicone on the tracks before you put it back together. Be sure you check everything out good before you button it back up.
This has to be one of the coolest fixes I have ever come across. Did the passenger and it is working great. Did the driver side but have not reinstalled it yet.
The best info I have found in a long time had to become a member after I fixed them. It will also be nice to keep you fellows on my lap top you never know when gremlin might pop up. We have a three month deer season here and if I only knew I wouldn't have had to throw the keys to my son every time we went out.

I was looking this site before I bought my first F250.
I knew it had issues with the powerlocks, overhead computer and no remote keys.
The Google brought me everytime into the FTE. When I realized how great this site is, I joined immediatelly.
So I had already answers and instructions how to fix the things when the car was drop to my driveway. I had the remotes from Ebay waiting to be programmed, the soldering iron was hot for the overhead comp. , drill and tools ready to fix the doorlocks . And my wife was mad because, why I bought a car with so many problems? But for me they were not any actual problems...
Had mine fixed for over a year with no problems. NOTE: do not over tighten the small bolts to put the housing back together, it prevents the locks from working freely.
I might have overlooked this as I skimmed, but both my doors have the "pry marks" from being broken into, will this fix work under these circumstances?I don't think there is any damage, other than the sheet metal under the door handles, but will find out I guess when I open it up. Just curious if anyone else has been in the same boat and if I should waste the Saturday afternoon.

thanks in advance!
I bought my f350 SD as a repo from houston texas and apparently when they repooed they had to pry one of the doors with a crow bar and the fix did work for me,I done both drivers side doors last night and i was blown away as my power door locks have not worked since i bought it.Hope this helps, you could always just try one which shouldnt take more than about an hour or 1.5.
Kudos to the man who figure this out,I actually bought new actuators about 2 years ago and couldnt even figure out how to get the old ones out to change them,i finally returned them for as refund but thanks to this post with detailed instructions and pics i have already fixed 2 of 4 in about 2 hours and only .02 invested.
I went all the trouble to register. Just to say "THANK YOU". This was just what I was looking for a reasonable and simple fix. Took just a few hours to fix all my doors. Again thanks.
