What would i need to do to convert my stock exhaust on an 83 6.9 to 4 inch, i would like it to go all the way from the collector. I jus needa know what parts to use and if neone has done it what they did
Very few shops can bend 4" pipe.
So since you have to buy all the bends it will be very expensive to fab a 4" exhaust.
Then you have to have a joint on each side of every bend that is either welded or clamped.
A lot of shops can bend 3" stuff.
I helped build mine with stacks for about 300 dollars several years ago.
The guy that owns the muffler shop was my good neighbor though.
i did the complete single 3 inch from y pipe back with flowmaster 50 series last week on the 79 for $135.
the 88 diesel was $475 for 10 ft of stainless 3 inch flex, 2 90º elbows to cut and weld for a splitter, 6 90's to get to the bottom of the bed, 10 3 inch clamps, 4 4 inch clamps, 2 3-4 adapters, 2 4 inch hooker sidepipe inserts, and 2 4ft 4 inch stacks.
