changing that pos down pipe is a must. the factory one is flat and very restrictive. As far as prices check out black cloud diesel

ok. i will keep that in mind when i have bloody knuckles trying to replace it. and thanks for the link. does any body have any ideas on what size DP to go with?

And whould i get 4" exhaust or just got for the 5 right away?

only a 3" dp will fit in without major firewall mods.

its really not that bad of a job. a sawzall is a must to do it though.

I just did the swap myself. The flat pipe looks crazy round to flat back to round and not very impressive. The new round downpipe is way better. Also there are no headers to replace on the PSD. The pipes that go from the heads to the turbo are fine. Jake is right, I don't know if anyone even sells a downpipe bigger than 3" for our trucks ('94-'97) The pipe I have starts at 3" and changes to 4" so there is no adapter needed for the rest of the exhaust.

ahh i c now. thanks for the info.

so if i changed my CAT and DP and intake would i get about 10 HP gain would you think?? also can you feel the power gain?
