transfercase oil
Want to know if its ok to use dexron 111/mercon auto tranmission fluid ina borg-warner1354 transfer case.The book calls for dexron 11. Just one more thing what would make the 4x4 go into gear better when its going about 15 miles per hour vers when it stoped.should this model be engaged when the truck is moving .Will low oil in the transfer case have any thing to do with this?93 ranger 5 speed 4.0 thanks

I use the dexron in my 92's 1354, works fine I haven't noticed if its any easier to engage cause I always come to a complete stop before engaging. Personally I like having the truck stopped thus eliminating any chance of something jamming/breaking.
