Transfer Case Fluid Type

What I've read here on the site is that Automatic Tranny Fluid is used in the Transfer case, is this so?? What kind of ATF, Dexron etc.

This has been covered in a few very recent threads, but you should be fine with any ATF. Dexron should be fine and is easy to obtain, although rumors of the holiness of Redline are tempting me to convert to the synthetic side of life.
