Hey guys not to be sarcastic here. Has the 6.o left you stranded at any time. That is has it made you call a tow truck to get it towed. On another forum Ford vs the competition a poster says he has seen some broke down on the side off the road. Your thoughts guys. Thanks
Yeah we were on a trip to Oregon pulling our 26'TH up the first big grade by Yreka when the trubo hose blew off and stranded us there at the Ford dealership Friday night. Luckily someone was there and offered us to stay the weekend behind the dealeship in their gravel lot with full hookups. Monday monring they were able to order the part and tuesday we were on our way.
I've been stranded 5 times with my 2005. Four times for the high pressure oil pump and one time with the intake turbo hose blowing off. I have been stranded 3 days this time.

YES!! 2859 miles.......On 12-24-2005 Christmas Eve at approx 6:30pm est on my way home with three hot pizzas from Dominos to be with my family in Aurora Indiana on Rte 350. Towed home later that night. Then on Tuesday morning to local ford dealer. Lost power without warning and would not start. Engine truned over but no white smoke (smokes when engine is getting fuel but not burning) out of the tail pipe. Also when cranking the enigne no oil pressure. Turned out be an "o" ring on injector number 6. Ford replaced the injector and o ring and all seems to be back in order. As long as this is my only problem I can live with that. Good luck to the rest of you guys.
Tranny broke but I made it back to my driveway which was 150 Interstate miles away.
Drive home with 3rd gear only that day, called the Ford Hotline for a warranty tow to the dealer. 1999
F-350 7.3 towed me in for a new reman transmission 2 days later and not a missed stroke since....
