well then i guess i will put it this way ( and i am sure in your opinion you will think me a fool) i am not going change where the flashlight is mounted because i "might" be in a rollover accident and in that accident i "might" hit my head on the light, i am not that big of a fatalist.
ps. if i wanted you opinion on my attitude...i would have asked for it
Well Brother....I've only been a paramedic/firefighter in a busy metro fire department for 26 years....No where near the experience of the journalist I'm sure!! But I've seen many people killed from lack of seat belts(kudos to you!) and none I can remember from a few small itmes in the cab. If someone's that concerned about it,they'd have to get rid of every loose item in there!
BTW,I keep my rechargeable mounted on the ceiling too....Good access if I rollover and can't get out...Maybe could signal with it!
Keep driving safe with your belt on...You'll be fine!!
Also....What's the bracket or item behind the flashlight??
Great... I have found a power source for that... Just didn't want to be running the battery down... That said, I have the HD Alternator just in case! LOL
I am installing this right now (between beers and ESPN) in the same place that Bear Hunter has his. Should I use switched power or constant power?
I have run mine on constant power in the 7 years I have had it. No vehicle battery issues and now issues with overcharging. barely replaced the battery in it about 3 months ago. These things are sweet, bright light, any and evertime you need it.

As far as running the battery down... I have never had any problems with it however for long trips via air where the truck sits in the parking lot i usually turn off the amateur radio and lay, flashlight in the seat, and disconnect anything in the aux power... just in case!
