I've got a 04 f-350 psd sc/sb w/camper and plow package. I installed a Western 7.5' plow and a rough country 2.5" leveling kit and works and looks great. Lately when I go over speed bump or turn into a pot hole I get a clunk or nock that so hard I can feel it in the floor boards. I've checked everything and it all seems to be tight. Even had dealer replace upper and lower ball joints on drivers side because seemed a little loose. No luck. Even had a friend down in the pit while I drove over block of wood and he could hear it and feel it but could'nt see it. Any suggestions???
One suggestion is the sway bar bushings, especially the ones that hold the bar to the axle. Sometimes they feel loose, sometimes they won't, but because they're made of natural rubber they degrade over time and get sloppy. The endlink ties to the frame right under the driver's feet so the shock feels like it's under the driver. Replace them with t he Super Duty specific kit from Energy Suspension and the problem is solved forever since they are polyurethane.
Is clunk when you turn or just over bumps. I had a clunk went I turn hard left like into a park space. They replaced the steering box. hope you find the problem , lets us know what you find. good luck John
I have a similar clunk and I've traced it to the front driveshaft. The slip-joint seems to have some movement to it. Does anyone think that it could just need grease, a similar fix to the common problem people have had with the rear driveshaft?
Unrelated: I installed SuperSprings to bring the back of the truck up leve lwith the front. I've searched long and hard on the Internet and no one seems to comment on the typical rear sag of F250 SDs. Hard to believe because almost every F-250 I see on the road more than a couple years old has this same sag. The SuperSprings brought the rear up about an inch under no load, and has helped a good deal with boat hauling.

dmp437 is right on the money with the sway bar bushings that attach the bar to the axle. they don't ahve to be very loose at all to cause this clunk. 95% of the superduties that i see that complain of a clunk, it is those bushings.
