TTB is short for "Twin Traction Beam", the Ford independant front suspension. You don't have this so that's good news and will save you a lot of trouble.

The real question is what size tires do you ultimately want to/plan to run on this truck.

A '97 f250 still had a dana 50 ttb I thought. Did someone swap in a solid axle or did you see a big bracket drop down from under the crossmember under the oild pan.

Oval is right, unless someone swapped a solid axle under it, you have TTB. From a glance, or a distance they can appear to be solid

im the original owner of the truck and it was bought off of the lot. ive been told it has a f350 front end in it, if that means anything. but everyhting ive seen tells me its a solid axle. the pumpkin is right there and theres leaf springs instead of coils. 97 is a very messed up year.
