I just rewired my headlights on my 96' F150, i installed 2, 30 amp relays for the high and low beam. after reading the article in the tech section it made me courious to how good it would be. and let me tell ya its a big difference in how bright they are!!! i would recommend anyone doing this to get brighter lights. now i am going to install higher wattage lights to get even better view. just wanted to say that it is a great improvement.
well i located the relays on the pass side fender just by the jack, i have another relay there for lights that i mounted on the front bumper, well i pulled the light socket and cut the wires about a inch from it, then spliced in 14 ga. wire, which runs to the relays, i have 12 ga. feeding the relays from the starter solenoid. and i used the wires that org fed the headlights to use as the relay wire. it took about a hour to do. and i sure do like how they work now. i had a buddy do the same on his 86' stang and he liked how is turned out as well, if ya have anymore questions just holler.
