What chip do I get?

Well i have been looking at alot of chips lately. The one i seem most interested in is the EDGE Evolution Performance Power Module. I just read up on the Predator and of course there is always The Superchip. Well if anyone out there that has chipped there truck write me back and tell me what brand you used, and if it is truly worth the money? Thanks..

I had the Hypertech in my 2000 Excursion and I was happy with it other than the price of those programers.

I had the hypertech, and I will never buy one again. All it did was make my truck Ping on any power setting, and when I put the thing in for firmer trans shifts, the trans would slip occasionaly. Not a very good product IMHO

I have used the Diablo chip as well as the Predator computer. Both were excellent, improved performance, slightly better mileage, good deal too IMO.

I prefer the Predator because its easier to use, just connect to ODBII and program away! Plus you can customize the tune in several ways, as well as adjust for oversixe tires and changes to your axle ratio. Very useful.

Good luck...

I Just flashed my 99' with the Hypertech III, and so far I like it. 87 Octane & Firmer shifts. After researching all of the Flash programmers, I think the Predator has the most options, but the bang for the buck was Hypertech at 275.00

You have a choice to either use a single setting chip or buy a programmer to change the settings in the factory chip. Just need to decide which path you want to go.

I used Superchips 1704-A on a F-250 SD 6.0L diesel. Don't waste your money it is garbage. Problem with the cruise control disengaging and Superchips states they cannot fix the problem.

I'm getting the diablo predator (tuner) for Christmas for my f150. A tuner seems to be the best, although a little more pricey, way to go for ease of use. I'll let you know how it goes Christmas morning.

I had a diablo (chip) for my ranger and it was a lot of trouble, never got it to work,we just sent it back.
