edge for tw

I have an evolution now and was thinking about getting a tw chip. Is there a big difference in performance. I like the evo but there's got to be something better.

Just get the chip from TW, you won't regret it.

i have bully dog and defiantly will be switching to a tw. my buddy has an evo. the four previous owners of that tuner all blew transmissions and now his is starting to go. i think it was just a bad burn or something.

Chaos, there is no tuner out there that will push enough HP to make these trannies fail. At most thru a stock truck your getting 80 hp. That bumps it to a whopping 280 to 310 ish depending on other mods with stock sticks. If you can get a tranny to hold up under that, its a piece of crap to begin with. Especially the edge, I have one, it doesnt do much, thats for sure.....

Im sure you can easily GET it to hold up under that, but my understanding of the (stock) E40D is that above 300 hp death slowly creeps up on it...
You could probably just have an aftermarket cooler and that would be enough...

Shoot, the stock cooler on a stock truck will burn it up....LOL It should easily hold a tuner...or a chip......... Once you switch sticks, your starting to get into the grey area.........

yes, transmission suicide is sad...
Although with that cooler, who could blame it???
but what about with a tuner, intake, exhaust combo??? i could see that and some heavier-than-normal use trashing a tranny...
