1993 F150 Key cylinder removal
How do I remove the ignition cylinder in a 1993 F150 (4x4, auto trans, tilt wheel, cruise control) if it wont move to the on or accessories position? I have a new one to replace it, but can't get the old one to move allowing me to press the release pin. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

if you cannot use release pin than you need to do this:
-disconnect batt. ground cable
-using channel locks or vise grip pliers, twist lock cyl. cap until it seperates from the lock cylinder
-use a 3/8 inch dia. drill, drill down middle of ign. lock key slot approximatly 44mm (1-3/4 inch) until lock cyl. breaks loose from breakaway base odf lock cylinder. emove lock cyl. and drill shavings and other foriegn materials from casing
-inspect lock cyl. housing for damage from above operation
now you are ready to put in new lock cyl.
good luck.
