Has anyone put a 1995 or 1996 E4OD tranny into a 1993 F-150? My tranny went to crap (won't move forward in any gear and fried the fluid) and I have been reading that Ford had pretty much fixed all the planetary gear problems and it had pretty much had all the bugs worked out. Am I right when I say this?
I am asking because I bought the truck from the Honda dealership I work at and the trans went out 4 days later. So they have agreed to pay for a used one (and I will do the labor part) but I want one that isn't going to break again. Any ideas about what year tranny to get and what to look for?
