93 F150 5speed cruise control not working

I replaced the clutch master cylinder on my 1993 F150, 5 speed 4.9L 240,000 miles. It took me a while to notice but the cruise control was not working after the replacement. I recall that it was more difficult to reinstall the clutch switch than it was to remove it. It it possible that there are different clutch master cylinder push rods depending on whether you have cruise control or not? It is more likely that I've not properly reinstalled the interlock switch and have to remove and reinstall?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Joe

Does your truck start with the clutch released now?

The truck starts as usual with the clutch disengaged. It will not crank with my foot off the clutch pedal.

Did you do anything like try to clean the switch? That can cross contacts in the switch. Also the old springs might not be returning the switch to the released position enabling the speed control.
My recommendation is to buy a new switch for 20$. Fixed mine when the 23 year old switch finally got too crudded up from the master cylinder.
