It's not standard, most will be around 11" though. Seems to be a trend for the hole to be ~1" smaller than the actual sub size.
5/8 MDF isn't my favorite, 3/4 is a little better IMHO, but it doesn't sound like a bad deal.

Well, i've decided to build my own box. I'm going to put it right behind the driver's seat and its going to be stacked. The dimensions are 14(19bottom to 9 at top) *14.25*29.5 (making the inside dimensions 12.5*12.75*28 for a total of 2.58 cu ft. How does this sound?
I bought a kenwood KAC-7202 amp (150x2 at 4ohms) for the subs. Do the subs need to be seperated in the box or can i leave one big open space in there?
