Taking bets on Greg's dyno numbers!

OK, this is for bragging rights!

I'll start the pool. I say he gets 390 HP at the rear wheels.

Everybody chime in, let's see who guesses the closest!

i say 392.3 at the wheels on the initial go... then he's gonna pull the stops and bust over to 401.2 on the final pull after a tweak or two...

I gotta be in the top 5. Just look at some of my posts in the other forums...or even in this forum.

I'm a wee bit inconstricated at the moment. But, I don't have to do anything tomorrow except blow up my $30,000 old truck.

I've created a MONSTER................and didn't even realize it....
I saw someone else posted somewhere yesterday and made a comment about having FTE ADD

BTW, as for HP...........I forgot my little Moroso Calculator so I'm WAG'n it (pun intended: me and wagons....get it...ha ha....geez, ok....) I figure it should be 366hp starting and with some easy tuning it break the 400 mark.

well, I'm off to the dyno. Let's hope I'm back in a few hours with some good numbers and not a parts list. Based on the way it ran last week, I think it will be OK. It was real consisten on the way there and back and when making those 6 passes.

It sure did not like the cold start this morning, but that cool air should help at the dyno.

A bit dissapointed :-(

Well, It didn't post the numbers I was expecting. But, we have a suspect. It posted about 350 rwhp and 390 ft-lbs of torque. The power falls off sharply after 5000rpm. Lately it's been running rougher at cold starts and hot starts. It will actualy cough, sputter and die if I don't let the idle smooth out sometimes. After looking at the graph, the tech thought that my plugs needed replacing. ANd that's what Kevin (strokster) has been saying for a while. I put some AC Delco in last time, because they were convenient. And they've been in there since the motor came back together. I'll be installing some new Autolites here soon. I probably won't get back to the Dyno until next week :-(

On a good note; I only spent $25 and didn't throw a rod :-)

Then I say bets are still on. We'll just keep throwing our bets in until next week and see what you get. You know anybody with a bigger carb? It would be fun to test after you get a good number with the one you have.
