Newbie performance question

I have a 03 250 CC KR 6.0. 4X4

So far she has the K&N System, Juice with Attitude.
4" BullyDog exhaust and insulated intercooler pipe. 3.73 Gears.

So the question is--- What is next???

I am thinking a new turbo will be needed next after that K&N filter lays waste to your turbo blades from a harsh dose of sand blasting.

You might also want to put some money back for head gaskets in case it lifts the heads and starts puking coolant out of the degas bottle.

Just for the record, I wasn't being sarcastic.

When using the Edge module, the truck's drivability will greatly improve with aftermarket transmission clutches and/or programming and control

Well said, the only thing I could add is I'd change the "if" it lifts the heads to "when" (if you ever start using the truck for serious towing).

LOL...that's why i don't use one. I saw what it did to my 5.0 mustang, 5.3 chevy and 2.2L Honda accord wagon. They all screamed with it and screamed because of it.

I figure I need the reliability and don't want to dose my nice, new expensive motor with dirt.

GTP-Maybe a custom tune with some tranny controls will help get a handle on that torqushift performance as well.

Wow what a friendly board. And so helpful also.

I do not tow, some off road. And yes I do know that if you cannot afford to break something then you should not be racing. <O</O

I am running the Edge because 95% of the time it is on mode 1. I like being able to change the performance without reflashing.<O</O

I guess my question is, Are cams, larger turbo, head work, Headers offered for the 6.0??

Gaskets and c-rings for the heads as well as ARP studs.

You could probably custom mount any turbo you wanted to it.

Has anyone ever posted a thread stating that there turbo went bad (got destroyed) due to an after market air filter? It sure seems that most are terrified at the thought of a K&N filter on a turbo diesel.

It sounds like you are used to working on gas engines (nothing wrong with that ).
A cam/head work and headers, while they may make some improvement in power, it is going to be insignificant for the ludicrous amounts of dollars you spend getting it done on a 6.0l.

I would start with upgrading your transmission (prevention is always better than cure) then maybe a water injection kit...
