6637 mod/K&N
I recently purchased a 2002 C/C SRW S/B 4x4...It has a K&N on it, I know I dont want the K&N (although it is clean and the turbo is not dusted) I bought a 6637 filter and plan to relace the K&N. Question being has anyone done this swap and if so did they use the K&N duct work? I will try it tonight to see, just wondering...I do not have the original duct work hence the concern.

Got home and put the 6637 on the K&N duct work...it fit like a charm. Put the filter minder on and some nylons around the 6637 and all was good.
Until I shut the hood, it closes ok but is being held up a bit by the filter. I could pull the filter back out and cut away a bit of the stock filter box base... any other suggestions?

I dont have any pics but I can tell you that cutting away a small amount of the stock base is all that is needed to ensure a good fit. It was a small amount of contact with the hood. You will like the improvement!
