So are you the one who voted "Other"?

I'm just curious what the Other is, not to make fun of that person, just out of curiosity.

Mine has the original straight 6 flathead. If/When I change I want a Ford in my Ford.

SBC 400, T56 6speed. Installed by the PO (or actually at least two ago), but I'm happy with it and it will remain as long as it continues to run good and does the job it's intended for. If that deeply offends anyone, all I can say is "suck it up, it's my truck!"

I have a 255-cid 8CM in my '48 F-1, recently connected to a '96 Mustang WC T5, driving through the original 3.73 Dana axle. A great combination!

Sounds cool, must have sweet exhaust sound. Still miss that sound, nothing else like it.

thanks, I think so... its got headers, 'packs out to dual exhaust in front of each rear wheel under the running board. Wakes the neighbors and scares everyone else!

My 51 F1 still has the orginal 226 Flathead 6 in it. The engine was last rebuilt in the mid 70s, and it sat for 12 years prior to my purchase. I haven't taken it apart at all, just managed to get the valves freed up, rebuilt the carb, fired her up and have been using it as my daily driver. The 6 runs well and uses very little oil, just wish that 4 speed crash box trans worked as well.

I have the 223 in my truck.I am probably going to put the 292 out of 56 car in it after Christmas.I like seeing these old trucks on the road.I don,t care what powers them, what ever makes the owner happy.

I'd love to get a late 50s or mid 60s F250 and put 6.9 or 7.3 IDI in it. That would make for a true original.
