Borgeson Steering Shaft

I have a 1979 Bronco and want to install a new Borgeson steering shaft. They make an OEM typ replacement that, with one of their new rag joints, will easily go right in.

Borgeson also makes a steering shaft with two u joints, elimanating the rag joint.

My question is, will the Borgeson steering shaft that eliminates the rag joint bolt right in or are some "custom" modifications needed to the input shaft of the steering gear box?

Thanks in advance.

Get a flaming river shaft much better the borgeson. Both will bolt right in to the best of my knowledge. My cousin has the borgeson and my brother has the flaming river. The flaming river is of a better quality than the borgeson.

they are a bolt-in, unless you have one of the wierd 79's with a steering column that has the flange welded to the end of the steering shaft. They are pretty rare but they are out there. If thats the case you have to remove the steering shaft from the column and replace it with a normal shaft so you can have something to attach the borgeson shaft too.

i see on their site that they also make the shaft with the rag-join flange on one end, so those "weird 79's" aren't S.O.L.
