Doubler is in. Pic's at the bottom of this page. http://www.mappyjack.com/Jrpic.htm Should have more pic's on the install later this week when it cools back down. I think I have a line on putting 44 spindles on my 35 knuckles. If I get this worked out I'll pull some of the 44 knuckle pic's and up date this.
Great picts Jack and thanks for the update on JR. Be glad to see it all finished and trail ready.
Have you fired yours over yet? Wish I was as close to being done as you are. But I commited to a bunch of mods and even though I can see the light at the end it is still slow going.
Tried to talk Clint into hooking up the 35 and 8.8 so we could go up the 22nd. He's determined on the 9" with 4.11's. So that puts it off till I can get the two detroit lockers, and the 4.11's for the front. Still need to rework the tranny mount, t-case shifter's, extended radius arm crossmember, finish engine wiring, convert front to 5x5.5 and 44 spindles with full size lockouts, exhaust, tranny lines, tranny shifter, tranny and 2 t-case vent tubes, new auxl. tranny cooler, tranny fluid, anti freeze, brake lines, shocks, shock mounts, install the 9" rear, install detroit in the 9", install gears and detroit in 35 front, install gas tank skid plate, install grill gaurd, install rear receiver hitch, install carpet and seats, cut hole in floor for second shifter and install boot, bleed brakes, driveshafts, trim fenders and quarter pannels, then someday front bumper and rear bumper with tire carrier.
Bet the temp will be below freezing a few times between now and when it is finished. I'd really like to have it ready for the National event next year. I'd like to take a run at the RTI title.
Yep, he has his permission slip. He is leaving tomorrow to go down to Clayton, OK for the Southwest 4wd Assn.s quarterly event. He is on vacation next week. His clutch pedal in his truck has a problem and takes 12,000,000 lbs of preasure to depress so he has been driving Mule and the Ebby. Seems like I have trouble getting over to work on it since I don't have a key. I have some pic's I'm going to up load and update my web site. After Clint gets his truck fixed next week and the little Opal pulled out of the garage over there we can do some little stuff. I'm going to run the Skyjacker and the early stock cross member. Just need to flip it around. You'll se when I post pic's. Need to get a short shift lever on the doubler. I should have the pic's up about that tomorrow. We are going to run exhaust on it like we did with the v-8 (like you have on your 2.8). Just have to see how stuff fits after we turn the cross member around.
Not in a real big hurry as I need the Detroit and 4.11's for the front before I can do anything with that.
