Jack, that is great news. I can only imagine how good it felt to hear it fire up after all the work you have put into it. Congratulations on the successful day and the happy dance. When you are ready, bring it over and I will do my best to keep up with you.
Thanks! Clint took it for a little crawl tonight. Put it in low low and inched it up out back. Maybe in a few weeks we can have it ready for a test drive.
Well that didn't last long. Pulled the rear end this morning. Take the third member in tomorrow for the Detroit Locker install. I'll clean on the housing a bit more and strip the backing plates and dab a bit of POR-15 on it. Going to pull the front end apart next.
Jr.s is now able to move and stop under it's own power. It's a fair distance from being a daily driver or wheeler. I have new pic's at: http://www.mappyjack.com/MJpic's.htm
Put the carpet down last night. Had to trim the carpet for the new floor and t-case shifter(it started life as a 2wd). Cut a slit for the real t-case shifter. The stock t-case shifter shifts the doubler box. Put the drivers seat back in.
Going to try to run the vent hose for the rear axle and get the seat belts and passangers seat in today. Maybe even get the speedo cable in. Hope to have it ready to give short test drives next weekend.
Jack brought it by my house today and Tony and I even got a short little drive in her. Sure is nice to see her out on the streets. Been a long time comin but it looks like it all paid off!!!
Wooooooo hoooooooooo! I have seat belts. The speedo works (need to adjust it for the tire/gear change). And the best part.........the radio works. I even found my Hanson CD. Penny & Me. Man is life good or what.
