I patched the drivers side floor with fiberglass and drilled some holes and ran a half dozen screws to tie it all together. Just need to torque all the suspension bolts again and get it to Duane to have the shock mounts welded. And I need to have the AC charged. Should be ready for a daily driver then.
I need to get it aligned again also. Need to see if Clint puts some coil spacers in the front or not though. Wanted to get the AC done also. Just too hot to drive without AC.
It was cool this morning and I was able to get Clint out to tighten up the suspension on Jr. A bunch of it needed some lock tight and torqued. Even put a can of freon in it, then found a leak. Found the inspection plate on the converter was loose. Found a screw and Clint took care of that also.
Took Jr. over to get it aligned this morning. Clint drove it to the GTG Saturday and he had a little trouble keeping it straight going down the road. Figured I should get it done before we get pulled over. Put 5 new tires on it also so it now has a good spare and all the tires are the same size and type. While I was there I decide to run over to G&R and found another drivers side arm rest/door handle. The AC fitting stopped leaking so it's really close to a daily driver. Just have to get the rear driveshaft done.
Was over at Tony's monday night/tuesday morning to get BB's nose up a bit. On the way home Jr. ran pretty hot. Checked it tuesday and it took over 1/2 a galon of coolant. Clint by passed the heater core and we thought that would solve the problem. Guess it's something else.
Update on "Jr." It is now my daily driver for as long as it stays together. Taking bets and givin even on odds on weather the engine or tranny will go first. So folks round Wichita might see it out and about. I put the 235's on it so I could get in it. Hope that makes it easier on the tranny and engine as well as it does me.
Yup, it does look a bit "different" with 7" of lift and 235 tires on it. Not to mention the full width 9" rear and the Dana 35 TTB front with Dana 44 outers on it.
