Cracked Intake

I have several Ford Trucks, but this question is for my 97 T- Bird with 4.6. My original plastic intake manifold cracked and was replaced by Ford under a recall. This weekend, this manifold let loose. It is cracked ny one of the two capscrews that retain the water neck on the thermostat potion of the manifold. Has anyone been able to repair one of these? Can you glue it, or fab a sleeve or? Just out of curiosity, I called my local Dealer for an estimate. $1200.00a Any advice? The car has been great, still is with 190,000 miles on it. Too nice to let go. I asked another Ford Dealer about this, he said no one had been able to glue one. He said don't quote him, but he had heard Ford was involved in a class action lawsuit over this very manifold and issue. Any advice?

is it the plastic intake? or the metal intake? i would just buy the new upgraded intake and install it yourself.
