Alright, so here is the deal.
I open a window(say hotmail.) and i click a link within that link and it opens a new windown, i now i have 2 windows open. If i close either window, it will close both. This is especially frustrating when a window opens a smaller window(such as a picture upload window) because whent that closes, it closes all the windows. Also, my address bar wont save any addy's that are typed in, when you close windows. Occasionally, it will give me a memory error, but i havent had it lately, to write it down. Any ideas as to why, its very frustrating. Its a XP computer, SP2, if you want any other info on the puter, just ask.
When that happens it's usually a missing plug in. Which it will ask you if you want to download it. I also try to email the webmasters and ask why are making IE specific web sites.
There's a few issues going on. On the top of your IE bar, go to "tools," then "internet options," then "advanced." Make sure the "reuse windows when launching shortcuts" is checked, along with "enable auto complete" and "enable page transitions."
Then open outlook, go to the main menu, go to "tools," then "options." That'll deal with your email settings.
Otherwise, it sounds to me like it's high time to do a disk cleanup and defrag, along with a adaware and a spybot clean. Call me if you're still stuck.

Not all web site code can be "reduced" to work in the Firefox browser. Particular sites that use languages such as .NET - at least this has been my experience.
That is why I usually send them nasty emails. MS has taken what was SUPPOSED to be a universal set of languages and made them platform specific. This is another attempt to monopolize the industry.
pfogle - that is true but it's also working. The number of .NET coded sites continue to increase.... on a side note I have also developed sites with other tools such as Dynamic HTML (DHTM) or complex .asp pages that don't show or run properly in Firefox. My argument has always been that in order to make Firefox such a "light" browser the developer had to throw out some needed "junk". Most people keep Firefox for daily browsing but go back to IE for any of the "heavy" type of web sites.
I actually LIKE Firefox but I think people have unreasonable expectations from it sometimes.
