when ever i click on a link or open a new browser window it opens minimized. not full screen like it used to. i think my son did something to it but i dont know what. i have set all my options back to the defaults but that didnt help.
Try right clicking on random places on the screen, look for a menu option called properties. You should several options reguarding the placement of new windows. It sounds like your currnet configuration is telling it to open new windows minimized.
By the way theres so many better web browsers then internet explorer.
i do have have two pair of double arrows on the right side, if i click on the first one it says; Auto Link, Auto fill, Send To, and Highlight. if i click on the second one it says; Help, Research, real.com, and messenger and i cant drag anything anywhere
At the top of the Internet Explorer window should be a blue area, that is the title bar. Place your mouse pointer in a blank area right under that blue bar and right click the mouse. You should have options of Standard buttons, Address bar, links and lock the tool bar. Select each one and you should then have the normal buttons.
With the explorer window maximized, try holding down the shift key while closing the window with the X.
Your son might have hit also the "F11" key and maximized the IE screen, hiding many of the functions. Hit the "F11" key again see if your normal window comes back.
