Actually none2. There is a wealth of info in the stickies at the top of the Super Duty and the 6.0 Forums. Especially in regards to the tech sticky and two tuner stickies.

You can even search within those stickies.

Guess you didn't see that part.

BTW FTE is all about FAQs. Tiresome sometimes but, true.

I had a guy the other day that asked a question I didn't know the answer to. I did a web search, found and posted the answer probably in less time than it took him to start and post his thread.

Some folks just don't want to search and many think their issues / questions are unique and specific to them. Generally unaware that there are thousands of members here.

Many of us have seen like threads posted one on top of the other.

I don't think a special FAQ is gonna help those folks...cause you gotta read it first.

We can't even get people to read the site guidelines. Curious to know if you have? Not being flippant BTW.

You are exactly right!!
Now we have some joker asking for FAQ's. What the hell is wrong with the ones listed in the Read First: Super Duty FAQ's Check in here first!! at the top of the forum list.
I know why so many of the great long gone members left. I have been around since 03 and seen a lot of great guys go because of redundancy. It use to be fun around here. What hapened?????????
It was stated awhile back that it should be a requirement for someone to read on here for 6 months before being able to post. That's a thought.

If most or shall I say a good # of people don't even read instructions that come with something you have to put 2gether, why would the web be any different? Some just live in a microwave style of life and want instant service @ all cost!
IMHO, for most of us we can read and do, with patience for those who don't, using wisdom along with the fact some people are going to be the way they are regardless of the rules.
Thanks Raybo54

Yes, before asking questions, people should search, BUT, that's been down a lot lately.

YES, before asking questions, people should check the FAQs.

But I'm a little tweaked when some new person comes along, and the old folks start whining about "go search", when the question asked is NOT in the FAQ AND search is down.

Yes, there's great info in the FAQ at the top of the page, but there are questions being asked over and over that are NOT in the FAQ.

SoOoo, either take some initiative and add some info to a / the faq, or stop whining about haveing to answer the same questions over and over.

"look in the FAQ" is a perfectly good answer to someone asking a FAQ, but sheesh, if its not in there, its not in there .... yet, so if you know the answer, AND you see a FAQ not in the official FAQ, then YOU GO ADD IT, stop complaining about the new folks, there will always be new folks

I must say, all this "do a search" and :check the faq" is really discouraging for a new member. I hate to say it, but the guys on Chevy Truck World were much more friendly in general to new users. That was a year ago before I got my new ford and joined FTE.

Anyway, it took a while to learn how to use all the tools FTE has to offer and to get a feel for the people on the forum. Fordafied is a perfect example.

Well, I guess we won't be able to measure the opportunity for a lighter stress load by this thread...huh?

Good luck Charlie.

Hell, I am easy to get along with, just as long as we use my ball and play by my rules. . "Chevy Truck World" at least you have graduated. I have never had a problem with the search feature. It sometimes takes awhile to find what I need. I guess that is what separates the men from the boys. Men find what they need, boys have to ask for it to be given to them. LOL everyone. If you dish it out, at least be able to take it. Now what were you asking again??????

All I was saying was that maybe you were a little harsh. He's a new user.

And the search feature works a lot more consistantly than it used to.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

Search was down the night before you posted.

As of 9/12/2005, I have found the search to be down very often in evenings. Perhaps fordafied is only on under light loads?

I keep getting a message like

1) Search is down due to heavy loads.
2) Sponsors / members get priority and can still search.
3) Oops, even members can't search at these times, we are upgrading our servers this weekend to fix this.

I've seen the same message for almost 2 weeks. Yes, I can search occassionally. Maybe I'm just on at the wrong / heavy useage times.
