The 01 I recently bought came with a 70 (I'm guessing)HP Western Diesel hard chip that worked ok, but transmission shifting was still mushy. I got (aquired for free) a Superchips 70/90/110 tuner and immediately installed the 70 HP tune. The shifting is better, and the EGTs don't rise so quickly. Even on the 110 HP setting (where it stays now), the transmission feels good and the truck runs great.
sorry dave but the sigs have turned off for some time now. to get them to show you need to join the site .
welcome to fte .the best ford site on the web . please take some time and read our guide lines and each areas read firsts
Which performance tuner do you guys like? Do you like the Edge, SCT, or the Banks Sixgun?
BTW: Do you guys see my sig?
Yeah I see your sig. So what, looks like a stock truck. You need to worry about more important things before a tuner: like intake, exhaust, and then gauges. After that, then get the tuner. You may already have that but your sig only shows stuff you have on a stock truck. You build a foundation 1st and then add the power so you can handle and monitor it before doing damage.

Depends on your use and what engine you have a 7.3 or a 6.0. We stock them all give us a call and we'll help you with questions and find out how you use the truck and what is best for your needs etc. We would reccomend gauges too with any tuners to make sure you keep EGT's in check etc.

I did not think you could get a 7.3L in the 06 model????
It was not meant to be harsh. Folks go and buy new trucks and things and want to start adding power adders without knowledge. I am trying to give a LITTLE info to help keep him from possible damage to a great truck. I think it is Asinine to fill out your sig with everything. Like PW, PDL, CD player, power seats and on and on. But that is just me and my opinion. No one uses the search anymore. I am not using this thread as an example but how many times has the "what tires fits" or "how big of a tire will fit of a stock rim" been asked.

Listen, we allready know what gages, intake, and exhaust we are going to get. I have not put them I my sig because we have not PUT THEM ON THE TRUCK YET. When we put those things on the truck they will be in my sig.

Well, I've found recently that search is VERY often down, server too busy or some such.
You could probably reduce all these frequently asked questions if you put together a FAQ with all the questions (and answers) you are tired of answering over and over.
Then folks could read the FAQ, and not have to search, reducing bandwidth, repeat postings, and no longer bothering you.
