LMAO@ i1dery;

I have one thing to say to you..........PUNCTUATION IS YOUR FRIEND!!
(spelling is also 'sorta important)

Look, I don't condone 'roids........in fact, it's hard to get me to take an asprin.

The fact is that all the hoopla surrounding the usage is a smoke screen. My God, to have a congressional hearing on this BS when we're nearing 2000 deaths in Iraq?? What was that movie, WAG THE DOG???

But please read all the serious responses; YOU are responsible for your chidenz, not the gubment or some over paid primma donna ball player. So throw that complaint right out the window.

You concerned about the health of the boys of summer?? Better get on the band wagon to ban tobacky ('specially the chewing type) better get prohibition reinstated (poor Mickey.....might still be playing for not the ETOH) While you're on the ACLU bandwagon, let's get fast food shut down.....surely you don't feed your boys that stuff...........do you??

Again, read EVERYTHING. When 'roids are used to increase levels to a safe point there are no side affects.........you can get Hemo-dialators, creatine etc....over the counter; there just has been no serious side effects when ODing. (except muscles will cramp like a beach on creatine w/o enough water. been there , done that)

Steroids ARE prescribed in every day life, from nasal sprays to cortisone shots. IT'S NOT EVIL But like Ephedra, and other stimulants, IDIOTS think if a little is good..........then a lot must be GREAT!!! BTW, Ephedra is back with us!!!! Seems people jumped the gun on that one too!!

Are we getting this yet?? It's the ABUSE of the substance (which is already controlled and illegal to possess unless you're an MD or under the order of an MD)

The records will stand, boys..........It didn't make that much of a difference. Scouts, workouts and just plain hard word counted some too.

Couple that with the fact that you can't see the delivery and they are pretty tough to hit. Best use for them is timing, I think. BTW, if steroids don't do that much for an athlete, in terms of hitting ability, then why take them at all? Is it possible that they also help you see the ball a little quicker? Maybe quicken your reflexes? Just a though...

Dude, I'm with you.........I WISH our pitching machines were consistent!!!

I've had to bail numerous times in the "Sandy Koufax" cage!!! They don't make you wear helmets for nothing!!

The original ???? was what 90 MPH was like...........I suggested the cage only because Roger Clemens was too busy at the moment to show Ben for reals.

Well, I guess the bottom line is that if and when Bonds steps up to the plate, those of you who either like him or hate him will most likely watch his first at bat.

Do you remember when he was nearing one of the HR marks, other sports stations switched to watch him when he was at bat?

Anyone else have that kind of coverage?

Like him or not, I think baseball needs him; for now.

He draws crowds.

Anyone like that in the A.L.?

Your physcological comment may be one of the most astute comments made yet..............besides all mine of course At the risk of being redundant, you MUST put in the HOURS at the gym to benefit from ANY supplement. Just the fact that you are training harder because you juiced may have an incredible effect mind wise.

I wonder how many players stopped hitting the gym or stopped training as hard once they couldn't take banned supplements???

Dude, they've been trying to dig up dirt on LA since win 1. If there were any positive tests, it would have been HUGE.........according to him, there are more un-announced tests on him then everyone else COMBINED!!!

I'm glad you brought that up.........there have been MANY positive tests on Armstrong's competition............still couldn't beat him. HEY!!! maybe barry Bonds or Palmero can win the next tour.............after all, we all know 'roids magically make you things you couldn't before

The only way Bonds or Palmero could win is if the rest of the field walked; and even than they probably couldn't win.

Cycling is one tough sport.

I can't imagine riding an average speed of 250 MPH, uphill, while relieving yourself.

DOHCmarauder, I did actually face pitches at 100+; that's 100 feet per minute.

Slow pitch softball.

Way too much time to think about hitting the ball.

Just like in tennis when the ball hits the net, pops up and you have all kinds of time to hit the ball. That's when you will most likely make an error.

As for LA, supposedly his samples from his first win was tested positive for EPO. or something like that.

Sounds like they have it out for him.

Could it be because he's an America?

Nah! That couldn't be it! (SARCASM)

First off, don't know computer terms that well, whats LMAO?
Second of all I really don't care about my punctuation on this
forum most poeple still understand the point.
Steroids will inhance your performance on everything you choose
to do, when you use it. The pitching machine you used must suck,
becuase i've never had to duck out of a pitch useing one. And I
would guess that you could'nt hit off one of my pitches, but you
could on a machine becuase of it's consistancy. I'll stop here with
the benefit of dought, becuase your a friend of rocketscience and
he gave me some good pointers. Plus I don't know what else to
say at this moment.

And Bonds says he may be back in September?

This I have to see.

And if he does, he'll draw (sports) media attention, that's for sure.

I can hear the boos now; not from Pac Bell Park, of course.

LMAO= laughing my **** off....

Dude, punctuation and spelling are a direct reflection of one's intelligence or lack thereof............take it for what it's worth.

We all understand you're Al Bundy with your High School triumphs.....did you score four touchdowns at Polk High also??? While we're on the subject of padded stats; Sever (sic) NEVER threw 110-120MPH and you ,my ego-inflated hot head ,NEVER threw 97.

You have no clue what I could or could not hit, you have no clue whom you are speaking to.

I've politely ignored the "moron" comment....until now. However, it is a well known fact to the educated among us that once the name calling starts that the name caller basically knows he/she has lost the argument.

As far as pitching machines go.........whatever!! Stu even commented that depending on how the ball is gripped from the tires, the path can change. Been my experience also..

Dude, NO KIDDING steroids can enhance performance??? Nothing to do with training or working out?

Can working out real, real hard enhance performance???? Should that be banned.

Drinking Gatorade to replenish electrolytes cheating???

It's an ignorant argument and the Country as a whole (or hole for you) has a lot more important things to worry about.

Thank-you,

Some people have a difficult time deciphering good natured banter.....especially when the views expressed don't coincide with their own

I Don't know who you are, and at this point don't care. But if you
want to attack my caracter thats fine, but you should stop with
the steroids becuase its gone to your mouth. I called you a moron
because i thought you where coming down on someone else.
And my nature is to stick up for poeple.
