The wonderful power window on the driver's side (naturally) has ceased to function. It acted real slow going up the last time (had to help it) and now doesn't work any more. I assume since the amount of times it's been used, the motor has failed. Does anyone have any advise or know of a site that could help me thru this daunting task of replacing the motor? I have a Haynes but, it doesn't have any advise to offer. Thanx in advance... BTV
take you door panel off and the dust barrier.where the motor bolts up to the regulator assy, there should be 3 center punch marks in the door skin.drill them out with a 1/2 drill bit and remove the 3 bolts.its easy just make sure you are over the bolts.
Remove the door panel and the dust barrier. Reach inside the door and pop the motor out of the bracket. You can see inside the door how the top of the motor comes out. Then just unplug it. Installation is the reverse. No drilling necessary.

how do you pop it out of the bracket.ive got to see this.
The bracket is C-shaped so that the motor pops out one way. I can't remember if it's up or down. All it needs is some force and it will come right out.
