My driver side window on my '95 F-150 was working fine, but now it won't go up or down. I can hear the motor working, but the window doesn't move. It's as though the window isn't connected to the motor. Any suggestions?
You need to take down the motor, you could think of the motor as a two part system, the electrical and the mechanical. Since you can hear it turning, then the failure is in the mechanical part, open the round part of the motor and you'll find some plastic gears, which probably failed and will need to be replaced. I can't remember right now which size, but using some bolts in place of the gears will solve this issue permanently. If you prefer plastic gears then the help section on a hardware store will have them.

Thanks. I got the motor out and replaced the plastic parts without issue. So, assuming I can remember how to put the motor back in, I should be all set. Thanks again.
