IH (International Harv) puts coolant filters on the other 6.0 liter versions for good reason.
Hmmmm, i havent seen the 1st one with one. Since ( i think) 2002 or 2003 International has been using Texaco/Havoline Extended life antifreeze and havent used a coolant filter.

Hey man what about that phone call?
I suppose you were talking to me?
I'll give you a ring sometime soon...have been very busy lately. The "to call" list is growing rapidly
Finally got around to doing my coolant filter install tonight. Everything went well and it did only take an hour to do. I did do something just a tad bit different and I'm hoping it was O.K. I cut the heater hose (same hose) in the back when it runs parallel to the firewall. I felt if I cut it "around" the oil input, there would be some bends in the hose that I didn't really want to see. Plus, on the 06's I think access around there is a little different. My only concern, which is not a great one, is that the "T" is BEFORE a type of vacuum switch that is inline on the heater hose. Make sense? Basically I have the hose running from the filter straight back to the heater hose at the firewall. Other than that it was simple, and I feel good about it. Next, the oil bypass system... (Jeff, I know your thoughts on this, I just felt I had to do it. It was either now or never. I'm basically spend ing a $1000 I "saved" from the Family Plan Pricing...) And then, gauges this weekend!!!

Great.... I am sure it will be OK... not sure about the vacume switch, but since it is a by-pass filter, I am sure you will be fine and I am sure you double-checked your options before installing.
Good luck on the Oilguard system. No problem here... I am not yet ready to part with several hundreds until I see proof and know that I am really getting cleaner oil in reality... not just therory... but it can't hurt... right? Good luck with that project.
My next upgrade is to go with Bilstein shocks all around. With 55,000 miles on the stock ones... it is time... even though it seems to be riding fine, I just like what I have read and heard about Bilsteins over the Rancho's.
I am also checking the Bilstein's out ... Although I want to maintain a "stock" look, I may go with Donahoe Racing's 2 1/2' leveling kit. I just need to decide if I'm going to do this, so I can figure in the new shocks... I think that's one area I wish I would have looked into a little deeper. I think I would have forgone the FX4 "package" and spent the money on my own setup. It would have cost a little more, but it would have been done right... No regrets though. That was my point on just getting the plain radio. I KNEW I would be upgrading, so why dish out for the extras that I will not utilize on down the road... Thanks again for your write-up. It did actually get me through the installation a little faster...
Glad to hear it went well and good luck on the suspension.
I will maintain my stock suspension since I drive my truck everyday and being able to get into the airport underground garage is vital (I clear the gate and beams by 1" - have to drive very sloooow to get in!!)
Wow, what an install. I got mine in today on my 2006 F-350. I must say, with the instructions, the install was very straightforward.
However, I told myself I was going to be very careful and try to prevent leaking coolant from getting all over the ground. Thus, I tried to catch the coolant coming out of the cut in the input pipe. I ended up draining the entire degas battle. What a pain, but it is in now, looks nice, and clearly there was some thought put into the placement of the setup from dieselsite. Overall, it was worth it so far in my opinion.
Just keep an eye on the degass bottle and make sure that your always at the "cold mark" when the motor is cold. This will ensure that all air bubbles/pockets are out of the system. I drove short trips for the first day to allow the heat and cool cycles before running it hard... just in case I messed up!!
