Smile Exhaust Pipes

I have a 97 f-350 with 7.3L Turbo Diesel and while I was at a dealer waiting for my truck I went to the used trucks area and I say a diesel pickup with a pipe that was around 8in all the through..... has anyone seen something like that... was that custom, or am i able to buy it?

8 inches? C'mon! That would be a complete waste and would probably negatively impact performance.

It was probably a 5" with a 6" tip. It looks bigger than it is. I haven't seen any thing bigger than 6" and that has to all be custom done. Save the money and buy a 4 or 5".

i agree, the 6" looks funny to me also. I have a 4", with a 5" tip for looks, cause i like shiny crap. Anything bigger than 4 really is a wash performance wise, i know guys making 400 hp on 3.5" exhaust

I agree. It was probably a 5" with 6" tip. I have a 5" with no added tip - and everyone who sees it says "That is the biggest exhaust pipe I've ever seen." It looks bigger than 5 inches in person, but I don't know why, because it looks a lot smaller in pictures.
