Hey guys, I am new here to the forum although I have been monitoring and getting some good tips and information. I have a 1977 F250 Auto, No tilt on the steering column....I am trying to get to the gear selector light and while I was able to remove the 3 bolts and the main bolt and took the wheel off, had to unhook the horn by the way, What I cannot for the life of me is get the metal part that the 3 bolts screw into off...? I pulled on it but don't want to break anything so I stopped short of getting to the light....needlenose pliers won't quite get in there, I did manage to play operation and twist it and get it out with some doctors tools Lol, then took the bulb out, replaced it with an led, didn't work, put the old one back in and it didn't work either...Lol...so....I guess I really need to get the rest of the stuff off so I can get to the light to get a better feel for the situation in there......Need some help though....Anyone know how to get to this PITA!
Lol, spent half a day trying to change out this crazy bulb!
